Lonar is the only crater in the world which harbours salty water and is suppposedly the third largest crater in the whole world. It ages 50,000 years and is situated in Lonar village of Buldhana Dist. in Maharashtra Sate of India. It harbours a rich falora, fauna and a range of microorganisms which are extremophiles.
